What Is the T51R Mod?

Originally made famous by the HKS T51R turbo, this modification involves machining the compressor housing and modifying the leading edge of the compressor wheel to create a high-pitched “siren” or “jet engine” noise during spool. It’s become a legend in the performance world — and we’ve made it better.
